Sail Away!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
I am hunkered down in my craft room, trying to keep warm,  with the heater on and a blanket over my knees - we are experiencing very cold winds, and snow in many parts of the country.

Today's card was inspired by the subject of 'aqua' at Paper Artsy. I remembered that I had this piece of card that I had played around with some aqua paint, so I die cut 2 pieces and layered them to make my sea. I highlighted the edges with a white Sharpie. The yacht was diecut from some textured white card, and the sky was sponged with an un-named ink pad. I added some clouds with the same ink pad,  and the seagulls and message were stamped with Memento tuxedo black.
Challenges -
Paper Artsy #9- aqua
Penny Black and More - for the boys
Happy Little Stamper - anything goes with dies
Pixie's crafty workshop #289/290- using snippets (the yacht)
Cards4Guys #173 -beside the sea

Thanks for visiting, and I appreciate any comments

What a lovely card Glennis! Such a pretty scene as well.

Bit stunned that it's so cold over there - here's hoping your weather soon changes for the better!

A perfect masculine card Glennis, many thanks for joining in at Penny Black and More challenge although we do need to see stamping as the focal element to be eligible for the prize draws.

Bet you are glad you are not in the South Island! Didn't they get a hammering!! Didn't stop the rugby though!! You're going to have to wait a while before you can sail anywhere! Leandra

Your sailboat sailing the high seas is a lovely work of art! Soooo pretty! We've been having uncharacteristically hot weather here; today's a bit of a reprieve with grey skies and cooler temperatures. Wearing my sweater! Thank you for sharing this gem in the HLS Anything Goes with Dies Challenge gallery!
